MSC recently issued an announcement that it plans to make some adjustments to the trans-Pacific route.
MSC recently issued an announcement stating that due to current market changes, supply chain is in congestion and ship delays have occurred. In order to increase the on-time rate, it plans to make some adjustments to the trans-Pacific route.
According to the announcement, the port of departure (POL) is the TP8/Orient route of Qingdao Port. The original voyage is 123N, and the adjusted voyage is 126N. The estimated ship arrival date (ETA) is June 28.
The port of departure is the TP9/Maple route of Nansha Port. The original voyage is UM124N, and the adjusted voyage is UM125N. The estimated ship arrival date (ETA) is June 25.
MSC said that the 2M alliance is arranging alternatives to the above routes.
Maersk said a few days ago that due to continued congestion at the West Coast of the United States, the speed of cargo transportation has slowed. To cope with the challenge, the company will adjust its TP Alaska routes through measures such as increasing capacity and adjusting port coverage to increase the on-time rate.
Maersk said that the TP Alaska route will provide weekly direct flights from Shanghai and Yantian to Tacoma, while continuing to provide bi-weekly services such as the westbound route from Holland Port in the United States to Northeast Asia.
The new call port sequence is: Shanghai (China)-Yantian (China)-Tacoma (United States)-Dutch Port (United States) *-Yokohama (Japan) *-Busan (South Korea) *-Qingdao (China) *-Shanghai (China)-Yantian (China)-Tacoma (United States) (* means bi-weekly service).
