2M’s partners Maersk and Mediterranean Shipping announced on June 2nd that their AE7/Condor Loop 4 will have a blank sailing and cancel calling at Hamburg in the next four weeks for unloading in Bremerhaven.
Maersk said, “Due to the high density of storage yards, our ships have a particularly long waiting time in the Port of Hamburg” and therefore this decision was made.
In view of the reliability of the shipping schedule, Maersk is implementing specific measures to improve the reliability of the AE7 service on its Far East to Nordic network. Due to the high storage yard density in the Port of Hamburg and the extremely long waiting time for ships, Maersk decided not to call at Port of Hamburg in the next four voyages and change the unloading place to Bremen NTB as the final unloading port. Maersk states that it will try to ensure the operation of following alternative routes to minimize the impact on customers.

MSC states that severe congestion at the Eurogate terminal in Hamburg is affecting the reliability of the shipping schedule and causing delays in shipments. Therefore, MSC decided to replace Hamburg's call with Bremerhaven for a period of 4 weeks. According to Article 19 of MSC’ s bill of lading and seaway bill of lading, cargo on the following ships will be unloaded in Bremerhaven. This means that MSC will end the transportation of your goods in the port of Bremerhaven. After paying local fees, the goods will be picked up by you. In addition, in accordance with the terms and conditions of transport, MSC is not liable for any delays caused by it.
