Overview:

      Port of Zhapu (port of Zhapu, port code: cnzpu) is Jiaxing Port, which is located in the north of Hangzhou Bay Cross Sea Bridge. It is the only sea port and maritime foreign trade port in the north of Zhejiang Province. It is a national first-class open port and the core area of manufacturing base on the North Bank of Hangzhou Bay. It has good deepwater coastline and port conditions. At present, it has built 12 10000 ton berths and 7 1000 ton berths for containers, bulk cargo, liquid chemical and other types of terminals. With convenient collection and distribution conditions, it is about 100 kilometers away from Shanghai, Hangzhou and Ningbo. Jiaxing Port area is an important advanced manufacturing base on the North Bank of Hangzhou Bay in Zhejiang Province. The rear hinterland is economically developed, and there is a huge space for the development of warehousing and logistics industry.

      Zhapu Port, the Oriental port, was first proposed by Sun Yat Sen. it is located on the North Bank of Hangzhou Bay and has a superior geographical location. It is located on the North Bank of Hangzhou Bay, southwest of Shanghai, near Zhapu Town, Pinghu County, Zhejiang Province, about 110 nautical miles to Wusong, Shanghai, and about 60 nautical miles to Zhenhai. Since December 1986, a modern seaport has been built around the old Fort site in Zhapu. The first phase of the project, with an investment of 73 million yuan, has a seagoing wharf and an inland river port area. The port terminal with a trestle of 1150 meters long, a wharf platform of 252 meters long and a width of 28 meters has been built and put into use. It can dock one 25000 ton seagoing vessel and one thousand ton seagoing vessel respectively, with an annual handling capacity of 454000 tons. At the same time, the built inland river port can dock 12 100 ton inland river ships with an annual throughput capacity of 515000 tons.

Wind condition: southeast wind prevails in summer, often attacked by typhoon; In winter, northwest wind prevails and Siberian cold wave is easy to invade. The normal wind direction is se and ESE, and the strong wind direction is se. The annual average wind speed was 3.3 m / S (1982). The typhoon season is from July to September, and the duration of typhoon influence is generally one day, up to three days.

Fog condition: fog days are mostly concentrated in March to April in spring and October to December in winter. It is advection fog in spring and radiation fog in winter. The average fog days over the years were 40.3 days, and most of them dissipated after 10 am.


Hydrology:

Geology:

      The upper part of Zhapu seabed soil is mainly composed of muddy clay, muddy loam, muddy sandy loam, clay and sandy loam. The fourth hard layer (- 35.5 ~ - 37.3m) in the lower part has good engineering site conditions and high bearing capacity, which can be combined with the fifth hard layer (- 39 ~ - 45m) as the bearing layer of stack bridge foundation; The sixth hard layer (- 44-49m) has good engineering geological conditions, large thickness and high bearing capacity, which can be used as the bearing layer of wharf platform foundation.

       Waterway transportation: the inland waterway is crisscross, and the waterway is connected with the main waterway of Beijing Hangzhou canal, Changhushen line, hangshen line and Liupingshen line through Zhajiasu waterway, forming a crisscross inland waterway shipping network. The coast can lead to ports all over the country and all over the world by sea.

      Railway transportation: Shanghai Hangzhou railway, Xuanzhou Hangzhou railway and Shenjiahu railway under construction pass through the rear of the port. Hangzhou Ningbo, Zhejiang Jiangxi, Shanghai Hangzhou and Xuanzhou Hangzhou lines meet in Hangzhou, forming the main hub of Hangzhou railway. The port is only 8 km away from the railway freight station.

      Highway transportation: the highway is connected with Shanghai Hangzhou Ningbo Expressway, Hangzhou Jiaxing Suning expressway, national highways 104, 320, 318 and several provincial highways, as well as Shenjiahu Expressway under construction through Zhajiasu expressway, zhawang highway, East West Expressway and Hangzhou Bay Cross Sea Bridge under construction, forming a highway network extending in all directions from Hangzhou, Jiaxing and Huzhou downtown to inside and outside the province, It is the most important land node in hangjiahushao, Southern Jiangsu and Southern Shanghai.

Air traffic: Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport has 35 routes connecting the whole country and all over the world.
