      Zhangjiagang, formerly known as Shazhou. Located in the eastern part of the Chinese mainland, the southern bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Suzhou. Changshu in the East, Suzhou and Wuxi in the south, Jiangyin in the West and the Yangtze River in the north. Zhangjiagang has a flat terrain, vertical and horizontal rivers and harbors, 6033 rivers, with a total length of 4477.3 km, and an average of 5.71 km per square kilometer of land. It is an emerging port industrial city at the intersection of the coastal and Yangtze River economic development zones. The total area of the city is 999 square kilometers, of which the land area is 777 square kilometers, under 8 towns and 1 modern agricultural demonstration parks, 175 administrative villages and 905 thousand registered residence population. Zhangjiagang is one of the county-level cities with the strongest comprehensive strength in China. It has been rated as the first of the top 100 counties in China for many years. It has made remarkable achievements in the fields of economy, culture, finance, commerce, exhibition, service industry and social construction, and has always been in the forefront of county-level cities in China.

      Zhangjiagang is a good natural port in Zhangjiagang, which is free from freezing and silting, deep water and safe from the wind. At present, there are 34 10000 ton berths with an annual throughput of more than 40 million tons, 19 international routes have been opened, more than 40 international flights per month, and there are freight exchanges with 150 ports in the world. Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone is the only inland port free trade zone among the 15 free trade zones in China. Covering an area of 4.1 square kilometers, the main functions are international trade, export processing and bonded storage.

      The special railway line has not yet been laid in the port area, but the back of the port is tied to the Beijing Shanghai railway, and the combined transport has been established with Wuxi station, which has communicated with the business channel of the transfer of tieshuikou. Jiangsu Province has planned to build a railway in the port area. The port is connected with highways in southern Jiangsu. After Chengyang highway is widened by 40-60m, the highway transportation will be more smooth.
