Summary of AUWAL

Wallaroo Port (Port Code: AUWAL) is a significant deep sea port in South Australia. It is located on the eastern side of Spencer Gulf, 158 kilometres north-west of Adelaide. The port is the point of international export for many agricultural products originating on Yorke Peninsula and nearby parts of the South Australian Mid North, principally including seed and grain products via the Wallaroo Grain Terminal. With copper mining history and beautiful beaches, tourism and marine leisure activity have also boosted Wallaroo's economy since the latter 1900s. The Wallaroo jetty is one of the most popular in the state for fishers whilst under the jetty is popular for divers with a variety of sea life. It is also home to the Spencer Gulf prawn fleet.
