Villahermosa Port (port code: MXVSA) is a port of call for ocean going ships in the Mexican state of Tabasco. It is situated on the banks of the Grijalva River, some 30 miles (50 kilometers) south of the Gulf of Mexico, and just 904 kilometers southeast of Mexico City. It is in the southernmost part of the Gulf of Mexico and at the heart of Mexico’s cacao-producing region.
Vessels of 5,000 tons can go up the river to the port.
