The Port of Vancouver (Port Code: CAVAN) is the largest port in Canada, which is located on the southwest coast of British Columbia. It is also the fourth largest in North America by tonnes of cargo, facilitating trade between Canada and more than 170 world economies. The port is home to 29 major marine cargo terminals, servicing five business sectors: automobiles, break-bulk, bulk, containers, and cruise, and it is served by three Class 1 railroads. It offers a full range of facilities and services to the domestic and international shipping community.
The port is managed by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority. It is the principal authority for shipping and port-related land and sea use in the Metro Vancouver region.
