Thamshavn or Thamshamn port (port code:NOTHA), part of the harbour area called Orkdalsora, is situated near the town of Orkanger, on the N coast of Norway, approx 45km SW of Trondheim. Exports include copper, zinc concentrates and ferro-silicon. Imports include coal, coke, quartz and general cargoes. Approx 237,000t of cargo handled annually. It is the site of the port for the town of Orkanger and the ferrosilicon plant Elkem Thamshavn.
