      Teluk Intan, located in Perak, Malaysia, is a port city in the west of Malaya, on the left bank of the river mouth of Perak. It is a core city for tourism. Teluk Intan, formerly known as durian sabatang, was later named Anson Bay after the British governor in Penang Archibald. Telok means Bay in Malay. In 1883, the city was renamed Anson Bay City, which was translated into Anshun in Chinese. The population is 100000. Convenient transportation, there is a highway to Kuala Lumpur. The most famous scenic spot is a large bell tower with a height of 25.5 meters - Anshun leaning tower.

Port of Teluk Intan (Port Code: MYTAN), formerly Telok Anson, is a port in northwestern Peninsular in (West) Malaysia. It lies on a deltaic peninsula formed by the confluence of the Perak and Bidor rivers. Formerly called Telong Melintang, the port was renamed in the 1880s for Lieutenant Governor George Anson of Penang (or Pinang). It is now an administrative centre and an important petroleum depot. Active in coastal trade, the port ships tin (from the Kinta Valley), rubber, and copra.
