Svaneke port (port code:DKSVA) has been around since the 13th century as a fishing port on the east coast of Bornholm, and the city has especially been able to enjoy the good herring fishing in the Middle Ages. It is located on the E coast of the island of Bornholm, approx 100nm ESE of Copenhagen. Summer Zone for ships over 100m in length and Winter Zone for ships of 100m or less in length. A new jetty was added in 2011, thereby increasing its capacity, also in onshore winds. At the same time, the harbour got a splendid new bathing area with a 1–2–3-metre diving platform. Please note that a port between and inner harbor and outer harbor is closed by onshore leaching.
