Summary of LBSID

Sidon Port (Port Code: LBSID) is a port situated at south of Beirut. The port is formed by an outer breakwater, extending northeast parallel to the shore and by a short mole, extending northwest from the west side of the town. It comprises a number of privately operated facilities. Includes a CBM handling fuel oil and gas oil (Electricite du Liban), a CBM handling gasoline and LPG (Cogico, Levant and Sidaco), a dry bulk berth (Ciment de Sibline), a further berth handling asphalt and jet fuel (Levant Fuels), and a marina. The cargo berths are arranged along the outside of the outer breakwater. The port consists of 2 piers, handling general and bulk cargo, livestock and containers. Approximately 60 vessels arrive at the port annually.
The port is under the management of Beirut Port Authority.
