Ribadeo Port (Port Code: ESRDO) is the main goods port in the Northwest of Galicia. it is a small commercial port situated at the mouth of the Rio Eo. Facilities are available for small fishing boats and small general and bulk carriers. It handles the timber traffic, which mainly went to Seville and Lisbon until well into the 18th century. The bay of Ribadeo is the dividing line between Galicia and Asturias and is dominated by the port that gives it its name. This fishing and sports harbour lies within one of the most beautiful cities along the whole Mariña Lucence, or Lugo Coast.
