      Port of the Dominican Republic. The maximum water depth is 14.63 meters. The specific gravity of water is 1025. The tidal range is about 0.61m. East wind prevails. The ship must pilot when entering the port. The main mooring vessel is 1.6km southwest of SPM. Ships are not affected by tides and can enter the port at any time. SBM is anchored at a depth of 25.91 meters, with a minimum water depth of 16.16 meters and a rotation radius of 610 meters. The maximum safe water depth is 14.63 meters. Flash light once per second. There are radar reflectors on the buoy. The mooring manager is in charge of the SBM berth. VHF channels 14 and 16 are used for port area communication. We work day and night. Palenque is situated on the south coast of the island, approx. 2.5 n.m. off Punta Palenque, 20 n.m. southwest of Santo Domingo.. Reconstituted crude oils received are mostly imported from Venezuela and Mexico. This is pumped to the refinery at Rio Haina. Max size: SBM: LOA 304.8m, draught 13.7m, 112,000DWT.
