Nessebar Port (Port code: BGNES) is located at the Northern end of Bourgas Bay, 15 n.m. NE of Bourgas, 110 n.m. NW of the Bosporus, on the W coast of the Black Sea, 110nm NNW of Istanbul. The Port handles medium sized passenger vessels, pleasure craft and local fishing vessels Port Terminal Nessebar is operated by JSC Vodstroi AD under a 35 year concession granted by the Government of Bulgaria. The Bosporus, also known as the Strait of Istanbul, is a narrow, natural strait and an internationally significant waterway located in northwestern Turkey. It forms part of the continental boundary between Europe and Asia, and divides Turkey by separating Anatolia from Thrace. The Bosporus connects the Black Sea with the Sea of Marmara, and, by extension via the Dardanelles, the Aegean and Mediterranean seas, and by the Kerch Strait, the sea of Azov.
