Mudanya (Port Code: TRMUD) is located on the southern coast of the Sea of Marmara, approx 75km east of Bandirma. The port consists of an "L" shaped jetty with outside pier length 92m, inside pier length 72m, ferry pier length 92m and is generally used by coastal traffic serving provincial towns. Depths range from 5.0-12.0m. Max size: Draught: 12.0m. Largest vessel handled: Approx 26,500DWT, log carrier.
As a port city, it also had a railway connection to Bursa which was completed in 1875. The railway had a pier at the seaport of Mudanya for exporting. Istanbul was often the recipient of exported goods from Mudanya. Silk was a popular export.
