Overview:

      United Arab Emirates crude oil port.On the east side of the headland about 10 km northwest of the ruwais Industrial Zone in the west, it faces Yasi island in the north, 60 nautical miles away from Das Island, another oil port of the country, 260 nautical miles away from the Strait of Hormuz in the northeast, and 2044 nautical miles away from the port of Colombo.The rear of the port is only connected by road, more than 200 km to Abu Dhabi airport.There are five oil depots in the land area of the port. In the deep line sea area of 5-6 km offshore and 15-20 m deep, there are four pontoon berths arranged in a straight line in the northwest and Southeast for mooring 100000 DWT oil tankers with draft of 14.4-15.3 M.There are four 12-16 inch oil pipelines in berths 1-3 and two 16 inch oil pipelines in berths 4. The oil volume of each berth is 6000-9500 tons per hour.There are two berths of the refinery trestle Wharf in the sea area with a water depth of 15 meters, 10 km southeast of the crude oil wharf.In 1989, Abu Dhabi's crude oil reserves were 12.5 billion tons, accounting for 40% of the country's total oil reserves of 13.4 billion tons, and its crude oil output was 68 million tons, accounting for more than 70% of the country's total output of 92.2 million tons in the same year.Most of them are exported through this way.The crude oil processing capacity is 4 million tons.

Summary of AEJDA

Jebel Dhanna (Port Code:AEJDA), which encompasses the industrial complex of Ruwais, is situated on the Persian Gulf coast approx 220km west of Abu Dhabi. The port area consists of two main oil terminals, handling crude oil and products for the refinery, a gas terminal, a bulk fertiliser terminal, a sulphur handling jetty and a small cargo harbour. Operations can be carried out throughout 24 hours on all terminals. Sir Bani Yas Port, on Bani Island, close north of Jebel Dhanna has recently opened as a multipurpose logistics port and tourist destination.
