Gwalior is a city in northwestern Madhya Pradesh, India. It is located in the natural corridor from the Ganges Plain to the Windjah Mountains. The Agra-Nagpur Railway passes through. The population is 560,000 (1981). There are cotton spinning, rayon and silk, hosiery, leather, ceramics, machinery, auto parts, agricultural machinery and other industries.
