Haifa port (port code: ILHFA) is a large port in Israel. It is located in the south of Haifa Bay.
The port is protected by two breakwaters; the Main Breakwater is 2.8 kilometers in length to the northwest and the Lee Breakwater is 760 meters in length to the east. The Lee Breakwater is now part of the Carmel Eastern Container Terminal, under construction. Within the port is a basin of 1,066,000 square meters, consisting of the main port and Kishon Harbour, to the east. The land area of the port extends to over 4,500,000 square meters.
The port handles most cargoes and offers a wide range of services. It handles about 19,800,000t of cargo, including 1,140,000TEU annually. The principal exports include citrus fruits, chemicals, tyres, textiles and machinery. And the chief imports are grain, raw materials, oil and petroleum products.
