Guangzhou Port (port code: CNCAN) is the largest comprehensive main hub port and container trunk port in South China. The port is located at the estuary of the Pearl River and the center of the Pearl River Delta region, on the edge of the South China Sea and adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau. In 2022, the container throughput of Guangzhou Port reached 24.46 million TEUs, ranking sixth in the world.

Guangzhou Port consists of seaports and inland ports. The seaports of Guangzhou include four major port areas, including the Inner Port Area, Huangpu Port Area, Xinsha Port Area, and Nansha Port Area, as well as the Pearl River Estuary Anchorage. The inland ports of Guangzhou consist of three port areas: Panyu, Wuhe, and Xintang.

Guangzhou Port now has 205 container liner routes, including 160 international trade liner routes, connecting more than 400 ports in over 100 countries and regions worldwide.

Guangzhou Port has over 150 water barge branch lines covering the Pearl River Delta, Guangxi, Hainan, etc. In addition, Guangzhou Port has opened the Guangzhou Port-Yingkou Port-Europe sea-rail freight channel and the Guangzhou-Russia China-Europe international freight train.

Guangzhou Port has 807 berths of various types for production, including 76 berths for cargo ships over 10,000 tons; it has 23 buoys and 88 anchorages, with a maximum anchoring capacity of 300,000 tons.
