Gabes port (port code: TNGAE) is a medium-sized port in Tunisia. It is located approximately 60 kilometers west of Djerba.
The port offers a sheltered harbour surrounded by two breakwaters. It handles approximately 4.1 million tons of cargo annually. The principal cargoes consist of grain, cement, fertiliser, chemical products and oil.
Each year about 400 vessels visit the port, among which around 67% are cargo vessels and 13% are tankers. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 200 meters. The maximum draught is 10.4 meters. The maximum deadweight is 63,878t.
