Port of Fray Bentos (port code: UYFBS) is a medium-sized port in Uruguay. It stands on the south side of the Rio Uruguay, 213 nautical miles from Montevideo.
The port is a major meat packing and grain centre with 3 wharves, 2 of which are "L" shaped and situated close to the town, and the other being "T" shaped and situated 1 nautical mile west-southwest.
The port has facilities for handling break bulk and dry bulk. The principal cargo handled by this port are forest products, citrus, barley, fertilisers and sunflower. The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for about 10%, and fishing vessels, taking up around 10% as well. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 200 meters. The maximum draught is 6.8 meters. The maximum deadweight is 49,561t.
