Eldoret port (port code: KEEDL) is one of the inland container depots operated by the port of Mombasa, which are designed to bring port services closer to their customers and to decongest the container terminal of Mombasa port. Completed in 1995, the port is located in the Great Rift Valley near rich agricultural lands.
The port offers 18,000 square meters of stacking area and can handle 25 thousand TEUs of containerized cargo per year. It expedites the movement of cargo to Uganda and Southern Sudan.
