Ehoala port (port code: MGEHL) is a small multi-purpose deep water port in Madagascar. It is situated on the south coast of Madagascar, close to southwest of Tolagnaro (Fort Dauphin).
The port is privately managed by Rio Tinto under a 40 year agreement, after which it will revert back to government ownership. Protected by a 625m breakwater, the port was built mainly for the export of ilmenite from the nearby open mine.
The port has facilities for handling break bulk, container and liquid. It is expected to handle approximately 750,000t of ilmenite and 40,000t of Zirsill annually, importing approximately 30,000t fuel oil for the operations.
