The port of Honduras is located on the north coast of the Gulf mouth of Durres on the western coast of Albania and on the southeast side of Adriatic Sea. It is the largest port in Albania.Founded in 1927, it is the national railway hub.The port is also one of the important industrial centers. The main industries are tobacco, rubber, flour and ship repair.The port area is rich in fish, and it is also the largest fishery center in China.It is about 35km away from the airport.
It has a subtropical Mediterranean climate with mild and rainy winters.The lowest annual average temperature is about - 1 ℃ in February and the highest is about 25 ℃ in August.The rainy season is from November to April of the next year, with strong wind and waves.The annual average rainfall is about 1300mm.The annual tidal range is small, and the maximum is not more than 0.3m.
The port of Honduras is protected by two breakwaters.The coastline of the main berths in the port area is 1250m long and the maximum water depth is 9.2m.The handling equipment includes various shore cranes, gantry cranes, floating cranes, truck cranes, forklifts and trailers. The maximum lifting capacity of the floating crane is 100 tons.There are about 90000 square meters of warehouse and storage yard, and the largest reliable 10000 ton ships in the ore terminal.The water depth of the oil terminal is about 7m, and there are tank cleaning facilities.Loading and unloading rate: ore loading rate of 2000 tons per day;The loading rate of asphalt is 160 tons per hatch per day;The general cargo can hold 120 tons per hatch per day;Complete sets of equipment, vehicle machinery, hardware steel, etc. each hatch can unload 120 tons per day.The main export goods are chrome ore, iron ore, asphalt, tobacco, fruits, caustic soda and textiles, while the import goods are mainly steel, grain, agricultural machinery, means of transport and industrial equipment.Four fifths of China's seaborne goods are imported and exported through Hong Kong.The annual cargo handling capacity is about 6 million tons.No work on holidays and Sundays.

Durres port (port cod: ALDRZ) is the principal port of Albania. It is situated approximately 120 nautical miles east of Bari, Italy, across the Adriatic Sea, at the north end of the Bay of Durres, an extensive body of water diving Kala e Turres and Cape Durres.
The port is formed by two breakwaters which protect ten berths. New berths are under construction. Access to the port is via a 120-meter-wide buoyed channel with a depth of approximately 9.5 meters. There are regular passenger/cargo ferry services to Bari, Ancona and Trieste.
The port handles approximately 603,000t of cargo and 770,800 passengers annually. Cargo handled includes general, bulk, breakbulk, palletised goods and containers. The types of vessels regularly calling at the port are cargo vessels, accounting for about 64.5%, and fishing vessels, taking up around 27%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 254 meters. The maximum draught is 8 meters. The maximum deadweight is 63,413t.
