Champerico Port (port code: GTCHA) is one of the most important ports on the Pacific. It is located in the Retalhuleu department in southwestern Guatemala and is connected with Retalhuleu with a paved road.
The port handles mostly coffee, timber and sugar. The port’s anchorage is 11-12.2 meters deep, and its cargo pier is 4.9-6.1 meters deep. There are one ore berth, 160 meters long and 8 meters deep, and one sugar refinery berth, 100 meters long and 10 meters deep.
