Located in the lower reaches of the Danube River in Eastern Romania, about 92n miles away from the estuary, it is Romania's timber and grain export port, as well as the entrepot of imported goods of countries in the Danube River Basin.It is about 12n miles away from Galatz port in the north.Hong Kong has a temperate continental climate. The lowest annual average temperature is about - 1 ℃ in January and the highest is about 23 ℃ in July.The annual average rainfall is about 500mm.The average tidal range is very small, generally about 0.15-0.3m.The main berths in the port area are on the left bank of the Danube River, with a maximum depth of 35m.The terminal is equipped with handling equipment.The grain depot has a capacity of about 25000 tons, as well as cargo sheds and open-air freight yards.The annual cargo handling capacity is about 5 million tons.The main export goods are timber, grain and groceries.

Braila Port (port code: ROBRA) is Romania's timber and grain export port, as well as the entrepot of imported goods of countries in the Danube River Basin. It is situated 170 kilometers up the River Danube, on the left bank.
The port is divided into three areas, namely the old port, the Braila docks port, and the downstream docks basin zone. There are facilities for handling break bulk, liquid and dry bulk. Navigation is possible all year round, though dense fog occurs in December and January.
The port handles approximately 2.28 million tons of cargo annually. The main imports entering this port include general cargo, steels and machinery, and the major exports leaving this port are timber, grain and livestock.
The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are cargo vessels, accounting for about 55%; and passenger vessels, taking up around 18%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 331 meters. The maximum draught is 6.9 meters. The maximum deadweight is 13,500t.
