Introduction of Bonn Port (DEBON)

The Port of Bonn is a small port on the Rhine in Bonn, North Rhine-Westphalia.

The port is located 658 kilometers to the left of the Rhine in the middle reaches of the North Rhine in Bonn, one kilometer north of the closure of Graurheindorf in Bonn, and the Victory Rhine.

In August 1907, Zehnhoff was at the Beethoven commercial shipyard at today's level. In 1924, the company moved to Graurheindorf where it is now. In World War II, most of the port was destroyed. As a result, the company's Zehnhoff-affiliated seaport under construction was closed again. The company founded in 2004 and Stadtwerke Bonn Bonn Hafenbetriebe GmbH took over the operations.

It was not until 1994 that the Wendeschleife tram route Graurheindorf ended at Bonner port, when Auerberg was extended by the omission of the Werftstraße part.

Economic importance

In the Mainland and Hong Kong is a company with 65,000 smaller ports along the Rhine. His Bonner Hafenbetriebe GmbH operates the combined Zehnhoff-Subsidiary Ltd. and Stadtwerke Bonn Ltd. The processing capacity in 2011 was approximately 795,000 tons. 100 containers are loaded and unloaded every day.

Using IT-based container gantry cranes and multi-functional IT sector spacing, the government will manage about 50 ships arriving and departing every week.In addition to containers, it can also handle bulk, bulk, groceries and project cargo.

Between 2008 and 2012, the port was expanded and fixed approximately 160,000 euros. The most important investment project includes a new container bridge 122 meters long and 43 meters high bridge bearing which has a total weight of 600 tons and a total weight capacity of 650,000 tons.

The passenger ship still uses the old frontier area at the Beethoven Concert Hall as the dock. For recreational boats, there is a separate entry and exit of small vehicles, 3.5 kilometers downstream.

Only 300 meters south of the port area, the running Federal Highway 565 can increase the driving distance to the exit of Bonn Auerberg about one kilometer. For rail transportation, the port has not opened in Bonn. A public transportation-connection is near the "old" border of the Kennedy Bridge. There are only a few steps from there, Hess shore , docks, and it uses passenger transportation.
