Myanmar commercial port.It is located on the East Bank of xibosheng River in the delta of Irrawaddy River in the south of the country, 150 km to the west of Yangon, about 75 nautical miles from the estuary, and near the Strait of preparis.The sea route is 364 nautical miles away from the port of Abu CHAB in the west, 258 nautical miles away from the port of Yangon in the East, 310 nautical miles away from the port of maotemian in the southeast, 791 nautical miles away from the port of Yokohama in the southeast and 1179 nautical miles away from the port of Singapore.Inland rivers are closely linked with the Irrawaddy Delta.In winter, only ships with draught of 7.0 meters can enter the port. In summer, ships with draught of less than 7.3 meters can enter the port.The port area extends about 8 km from north to south along the East Bank of the Bosheng river. There are 6 public wharves and 20 enterprise owned wharves such as rice mills. The water depth along the side is 5.2-7.1 meters. There are 3 mooring buoys and 1 Floating Wharf in the center of the river. The latter can reliably berth 122 meter long ships.
