Banyuwangi Port (port code: IDBJU / IDBNI) is a medium-sized commercial port in Indonesia. It is situated on the southeast coast of Java, near the Bari Strait.
There are two port area in this port: the old port, which is located in the south, in a small fjord with concave land bank, and only handles small boats and fishing boats; and the new port, known as Meining port area, which is situated on the land bank, 6 nautical miles north of the old port, facing the Bali Strait.
The port offers facilities for handling break bulk and dry bulk. Cargo is loaded and discharged into lighters in this port. The principal exports leaving this port are sugar, coffee and tobacco.
The types of vessels regularly calling at this port are tankers and dredging vessels, each accounting for about 50%. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 16 meters.
