Arad Port (port code: ROARW) is an intermodal terminal and part of Curtici Cargo Center. It is the biggest and most up-to-date inland terminal in Romania and also one of the largest in Central and Eastern Europe region.
The port covers a total of 10.3 hectares and has a storage capacity of 3,00 TEUs. It also has 3 RTG cranes and 3 reach-stackers, meaning an annual lifting capacity of 170.000 TEUs.
The port began operation in 2009. In 2016 the second phase of construction of 9 million EUR was implemented. It is located on the Hungarian-Romanian border, next to the Trade Trans Terminal warehouse, 15 kilometres from Arad and 20 kilometres from the Arad-Timisoara motorway.
