Introduction of Anqing Port (CNAQG)


      Anqing city is located in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, the source of the Wanjiang River eight hundred miles away, near the sea. Anqing port is an important port with both coastal and inland advantages on the main line of the Yangtze River. It is also the only deep-water port on the North Bank of the Yangtze River in Anhui Province, known as the "throat of Southwest Anhui". Anqing port has a long history, known as the "Millennium ancient port" and "eight provinces through Tianjin" reputation. As early as before the construction of Anqing City in the Southern Song Dynasty, there was an ancient ferry in shengtangwan. In 1902, Anqing was established as a "trading port". Anqing port was approved as a class I foreign trade port by the State Council in 1986, opened to foreign ships in 1996, and announced as a major port in China in 2004. Anqing port has four major ports, namely anqing port area, Susong port area, Huayang port area and Zongyang port area, with more than 220 large and small berths, including more than 180 main production berths, 10 5000 ton berths, 3 special container berths and 4 anchorages. The maximum lifting capacity of the wharf apron is 40 tons, and the annual designed comprehensive carrying capacity of the port is 30 million tons. In 2007, the port's cargo throughput was nearly 30 million tons, and the container throughput was nearly 10000 cases.
