Allinge port (port code: DKALL) is situated on the northeast coast of Bornham Island at the southwest entrance to the Baltic Sea. The port consists of an outer and inner basin, separated by a lock gate, with depths of 4.7m and 4.4m, respectively. Vessels can lie in safety in the inner basin during onshore gales
Blasted to accommodate deep-draught vessels, as it has also served as a car-ferry port with regular service to Sweden, there are numerous ferry connections to the surrounding islands and also to Simrishamn in Sweden, so that Allinge has excellent connections and travel to and from the island is made much easier.
