Alderney port (port code: GBALD), also known as Braye port, is the main harbour on the north side of the Island of Alderney, in the Channel Islands, a dependency of the British Crown. It is an artificial harbour created by building a pier or jetty. The harbour faces out onto the Swinge, which is part of the English Channel. It is here that most of the island's freight comes in.
For customs clearance and entry to the Island, Braye is the designated port of entry and it is compulsory for all vessels entering from outside the Bailiwick to clear customs formalities at this harbour.
The port handles approximately 250 vessels, 15,000 tons of cargoes and 4,000 passengers annually. The cargoes mainly handled are general cargo, bulk cargo and oil.
