Transit Cargo

Transit Cargo means goods onboard that are not to be discharged upon arrival at a certain port.

What is Transit Cargo?

Transit cargo refers to goods that are transported through a country or territory without being subject to customs duties or other import/export restrictions. Transit cargo is typically transported by land, sea, or air and may be shipped in containers, on pallets, or in other forms of packaging. Transit cargo is often subject to special regulations and documentation requirements, as it must be transported through multiple jurisdictions without being offloaded or processed. The movement of transit cargo is an important component of global trade, as it allows goods to be transported more efficiently and at lower cost.
