Overview:
Port in central Solomon Islands. It is located in the northwest of Honiara, Southeast of the Russell islands, with a maximum draught of 7.01 meters. The loading density of water is 1025. The tidal range is 1.22m and the prevailing wind direction is variable. Pilotage is available, but there is no port communication station. Working hours are negotiated. Port service facilities include: motor boats, medical treatment, fresh water and supplies, no ship repair, fueling, dry dock, towing, sewage and repatriation. The port is located in Russell Island, and the anchorage can be used for 152.4-meter-long ships to stay away from the wind and anchor. The new cement wharf is about 53.32 meters, and the water depth at the front is 7.62 meters.
