Viru Harbour (port code: SBVIU) is a small port situated on a deep, narrow bay on the west coast of New Georgia Island.
The port handles approximately 12 vessels annually. With a maximum draught of 6.1 meters being allowed, the maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 50 meters. Logs are the principal export of the port. Each year 70,000t of logs are dispatched from here.
