Port of Veraval (Port Code: INVER) is a port lying on the southwestern coast of the Kathiawar Peninsula, along the Arabian Sea in the state of Gujarat, in northwestern India. It is home to one of India’s biggest fishing ports. The port has limited commercial traffic with a sheltered fishing and lighterage harbour consisting of 2 basins inside an eastern and western breakwater. Vessels lie at the fair weather anchorage in the roads and load and discharge by lighters working to the inner harbour, only 3 vessels can be worked at a time. The Port of Veraval is also used for agricultural products and timber and is home to manufacturers of textile bobbins, matches, and bone fertilizers. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 179 meters.
