The Port of Tekirdag (Port Code: TRTEK) is a port located on the northwestern shores of the Sea of Marmara in European Turkey, about 125 kilometers west of the Port of Istanbul. The Port serves a productive agricultural hinterland, exporting flax and sunflower seeds. It is also well known for its wines and vineyards. Its Container Terminal includes four berths with a total length of 1368 meters and alongside depths from 8 to 14 meters. The port can handle general cargo, containers, and roll-on/roll-off cargoes. The General Cargo Terminal for foreign cargoes at the Port of Tekirdag is located at the New Wharf. The terminal covers over 21 thousand square meters and is equipped to handle bulk, general, and liquid bulk cargoes. Roll-on/roll-off cargoes are also handled at the New Wharf, which has both open and closed storage areas.
