The Port of Swinoujscie (Port Code: PLSWI) is a Polish seaport situated on the eastern bank of Uznam Island, at the mouth of the Swina River on southern Baltic coast. Swinoujscie, the outer port of Szczecin, is the largest dry bulk terminal in Poland. Major bulk cargoes are coal, iron ore, fertiliser and aggregates. The port has a modern coal terminal for bulk carriers of 35,000-65,000DWT loading coal with a daily capacity of 30,000t. There is also a modern terminal for the importation of iron ore. The passenger terminal offers passenger, car, train and ferry services to Copenhagen, Denmark and Ystad, Sweden.
In 2006, the seaport handled 9,241,500 tons of cargo, which accounted for 15.3% of all cargo traffic in Polish seaports。
