Sharjah Port (Port Code: AESHJ), also known as Port Khalid, is a large-sized port situated on the northwest coast of the United Arab Emirates, approx 10km northeast of Dubai. The new port replaces Sharjah Creek for the larger deep-sea vessels. The man-made port has 21 deep water berths with facilities for passenger, container, Ro-Ro, car carrying, break bulk and dry and liquid bulk vessels; there are also two cold stores with adjacent berths and one oil terminal.
Petroleum products are the main base of its economy. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 367 meters. The maximum draught is 11.4 meters. The maximum Deadweight is 179816t. Approximately 1,808,000t cargo, 2,090TEU and 67,000 passengers are handled annually.
