Port of Puerto Madryn (Port Code: ARPMY) is a sheltered harbour situated roughly at a midway point along the Argentinean coastline. The principal trade is the import of alumina and the export of aluminium ingots, byproducts, frozen fish and wool. Passenger vessels call Dec-Mar due to important coastal wildlife reserves in the area. There are 2 piers at Madryn, the Luis Piedra Buena Pier which is used by fishing vessels (old quay) and cruise ships (new quay) and the modern Almirante Storni Pier.
