The port of Petropavlovsk (Port Code:RUPKC) is the largest city in the Kamchatka Peninsula of Russia, which is found on the Avacha Bay and is enclosed by beautiful scenery of snow-capped mountains and two volcanoes. It is situated in the north of Avachinskaya Bay, on the Pacific coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula. The port mainly handles coastal traffic. Cargoes handled are general and bulk cargo, timber, refrigerated cargo, containers, machinery, coal, clinker, grain and iron. Timber, scrap and obsidian are exported from the port.
