Peel (Port Code:GBPEE) is located at the entrance to River Neb, south of Saint Patrick's Isle, on the Isle of Man. The port has a small commercial harbour, principally a fishing port, and possesses 4 berths totaling 213m in length. The principal exports are fish and agricultural produce, the main imports are petroleum products and general cargo. Max size: Approx 4.27m draught, 3,000GT.
Traditionally a major fishing port which used to host a huge fishing fleet, Peel remains the most active fishing port on the Isle of Man. It is also a major port for the importation of fuel oils and does host the occasional cruise ship visit. Situated on the west coast, Peel also has a comprehensive fish and shellfish processing industry and is home to the traditional art of kipper curing with guided tours organised for visitors throughout the curing season (May to September).
