Owen Sound (Port Code:CAOSD) is located on the South side of Georgian Bay, Ontario, at the mouth of the Sydenham River. The port has two pier areas on each side of the harbour. Grain and other bulk cargoes are handled here. During the months from January to March, when navigation is not possible, the port can provide winter berthing for vessels. Over the years, Owen Sound was a major port best known for its taverns and brothel. Approx 8,430t of cement, 16,150t of calcium chloride and 106,670t of grain are handled annually.
