Le Treport (port code:FRTPT/FRLTR) is a small fishing port on the northern tip of the Côte d’Albâtre. It is located on the NW coast of France just to the NE of Dieppe, at the mouth of the Bresle, one of the three rivers that open the coast. Le Treport was a very active fishing port which benefited further from the maritime canal open in the 15th century. However, it thrived after the French Revolution because of its proximity and ease of access to and from Paris. Maritime and fluvial traffic were improved in the following decades with the expansion and modernization of its canal.
The port possesses 2 quays, North Quay and South Quay. These provide 10 berths and are used primarily for the handling of general and grain cargoes. The commercial port and fishing port are entered through separate locks. Approximately 135 vessels visit the port annually.
