Kleven (Port Code:NOKLE) is a subport of Mandal, which is situated in the mouth of the Mandalselva, a river which flows into the head of Mannefjorden. Mandal is Norway's most southern town and stands on the west bank of the river with Malmoy on the east bank. The deep water commercial port lies between Kleven and Gismeroya, about 0.7nm east of Mandal; and the deep water fuelling berth is at Homsvik (58°00.4'N 007° 30'E). The port comprises 3 harbours, Mandal, Gismeroya and Kleven. The main industries are shipbuilding, steel production and tourism. The harbour has retained its authentic atmosphere and maritime ambience, and serves as an excellent alternative to the larger marinas.
