Giresun port (port code: TRGIR) is a medium-sized port in Turkey. It is located on the Black Sea coast, approximately 70 nautical miles west of Trabzon.
The port comprises of 2 areas, the inner harbour and the outer harbour. The inner harbour is the area contained in the inner side of a line which joins the light at the end of the main breakwater with the light at the end of the auxiliary breakwater. The outer harbour is between the port boundary and the inner harbour boundary.
The port handles approximately 2,000,000t of cargo annually. About 65% of vessels regularly calling at this port are general cargo vessels. The maximum length of the vessels recorded to having entered this port is 230 meters. The maximum draught is 7.9 meters. The maximum deadweight is 82,000t.
