Port of George Town (port code: BSGGT) is a seaport in Georgetown, on Great Exuma Island, a chain of islands that stretch to about 100 miles long, in Bahamas. The largest vessels recorded to having entered this port is 30 meters.
The port has a colorful history. Pirates used it during the 17th century and the “plantation aristocracy” from Virginia and North and South Carolina settled at the port in the 18th century.
