The port of Pietarsaari (Port Code:FIPIE), located by the west coast of Finland, is specialized in handling wood-processing industry products. The port has a channel depth of 11 meters and six quays with a total length of about 1 km.The most important articles transported through the port of Pietarsaari are cellulose, timber, paper, cement and lye. The port of Pietarsaari is continuously improving the possibilities for the transport of increased quantities of general goods, containers and timber products.
The port operator of Pietarsaari, is Euroports Pietarsaari Oy Ab, who are responsible for the day-to-day loading and unloading and warehousing. Together with the port operator, Euroports Pietarsaari Oy Ab, the port is one of the most efficient in the world that deals with wood-processing industry products. In 2016–2019, investments have been made to improve the capacity for holding stock in the area by constructing two new 4.000 m2 warehouses and 18.000 m2 storage area.
