Charlotte Amalie Port (port code: VICHA) is the main port of St Thomas Island. It is located on St. Thomas Island, US Virgin Islands.
The beautiful natural harbor of St. Thomas welcomed the first settlers to the island and today it welcomes millions of visitors. Piers once dotted the waterfront area providing landing and loading space for trading ships. The old warehouses with their piers jutting out into the harbor were landlocked.
The port is famous as a deep-water harbor that was once a haven for pirates and is now a famed cruise ship port of call, with about 1.5 million cruise ship passengers landing there in 2004.
